Chenkai Dai, MD PhD

Dr. Chenkai Dai is an Assistant Professor in the department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.Dr. Chenkai Dai completed medical training in 2000 at the Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science & Technology in Wuhan, China, where he also completed specialty training resulting in award of an MS in Otolaryngology Science in 2003. He then completed his PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Oklahoma, where he primarily studied middle ear and cochlear mechanics and worked on development of a middle ear implantable device. He joined the Vestibular NeuroEngineering Lab as a research Fellow since 2008 under the mentorship of Dr. Della Santina. His research focuses on adaptation to chronic stimulation using a multichannel vestibular prosthesis and hearing outcomes after vestibular prosthesis electrode implantation.
