NPC - Elias Van Horn, Ship's Owner

Elias Van Horn, Esq. is a former lawyer with a dream of getting out among the stars. Originally a defense attorney from the core world of Osiris, Van Horn lost a major case that ruined his career and made some enemies, due to political and media blowback. The traumatic incidents which followed the trial and left him hospitalized for a time convinced him that his lawyering days were done. Van Horn took the opportunity to change his life. He sold his practice, his home, and his other holdings. He took some technical courses and purchased a Betty-class RSV with the last of his funds. Unfortunately, the sudden drastic lifestyle change cost him the last of his stability. Now Van Horn suffers from some eccentricities, preferring to remain in his cabin most of the time.
