NPC's and 3By's

Erwin DretzelShip's Hand (NPC)The first person hired onto the crew of the RSV-612 was a crusty old bastard named "Erwin Dretzel" (NPC). Dretzel was a general space hand who claims to have served on several Betty-class ships during the war, including this specific one. With solid letters of reference and a verifiable service record, he seemed to be a good deal, so he got the job. In the time since Dretzel moved in, he has proven to be as good at cooking as he is lousy at singing - he does both loudly. He is capable of simple repairs, but he's no engineer... competent enough within his limited realm. Dretzel is superstitious, crude, and homely - but he's calm under pressure, just competent enough to be useful to most crewmembers, and always knows what time it is. Dretzel appears to have contacts within a widely dispersed network of space-traveling alcoholic day laborers. You just never know when that might be handy.
