Hello readers,
Our second week of project preparation has been completed, and we've begun writing the introduction for our project. A big step we took was finding a title for our project: "Venice through the canals of time: mapping the physical evolution of the city". As for our writing, we've written first drafts for our "moves 1 and 2" (the "Big picture" and "local context" of our problem).
The majority of our time has been spent working on research. Our project is based largely on historical and archaeological data, so we'll need a lot of knowledge to complete it. There are plenty of things to read, and collectively we will read the 2004 IQP named "Evolution of the Forma Urbis: A Graphical Tool for Analyzing the Urban Development of Venice".
We're excited to finally start working on writing and reading for our project, and we hope that future weeks will be just as productive!
Stay tuned,
- Justin Chines
