WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SEMI AND PERMANENT LASH?
Semi is for short-term wearing, no commitment, special occasions, not water resistant.
Permanent is long-term wearing, requires retouch every 2-3 weeks. the set lasts 1-2
years, everyday wear, can get wet.
How long does lasts?
This permanent lash lasts easy one to two years but requires retouch every 2-4 weeks,
depending on each individual.
What kind of lashes are you using?
Normally I use mink or silk. It's weightless and comfortable to wear. Feels natural like
your own lashes.
What Are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash extensions are a popular new product that lengthens and thickens your own
natural lashes. They are single strands of synthetic/silk/mink eyelashes that are curved
to replicate a natural lash. They are applied to each individual eyelash with a specially
designed bonding agent for a natural, beautiful and luscious look. Eyelash extensions
are perfect for that special occasion or for day-to-day wear. They are virtually weightless
and will not damage your natural lash so you can choose to wear them permanently.
Can I use mascara or eyeliner?
mascara: Not recommended, removing process can cause the lashes to fall out.
eyeliner: yes, it's safe to use water based eyeliner. use a cotton swab to remove (using
water based makeup remover, ex: witch hazel)
Will the application be harmful to my natural lashes?
Not at all! Our eyelash extensions are applied on your own natural eyelashes one by
one (without touching the skin) with a specially designed bonding agent developed
exclusively for eyelash extensions. This new technique is not harmful to your natural
eyelashes. The adhesive dries very soft on lashes allowing flexibility and comfort.
What do Eyelash Extensions look like when applied?
With proper application, meaning one synthetic eyelash applied to one natural lash the
look and feel is completely natural looking and real. No one will know you have
extensions. They will just think you were born with beautiful, long and luxurious lashes!
How long will a set of Eyelash Extensions last?
When applied properly, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth
cycle of your eyelashes. Everyone's experience will differ based on day to day activities
but overall touch ups should only be required once every 2 to 3 weeks. Then you can
continue wearing it...months...years
How often should I get a fill?
We recommend getting a fill every 2 to 3 weeks. As your natural cycle falls out, we will
replace it with new lashes. If you wait too long your eyelash extensions will fall out and
you will require a full set. A fill averages about 1-1.5 hr.
semi-permanent' lashes and permanent lashes. What is the difference between the
two?
Just like your hair, eyelashes grow and fall out. In fact, we lose between 10 and 15
lashes every month. The term 'semi-permanent' refers to eyelash extensions that fall
out before natural lashes. Semi is designed for short-term wearing for special occasions
with no/low commitment. The lashes are cluster and the glue are easily remove than
permanent glue. On average semi lasts 4 days to 2 weeks. Permanent lasts
months-year (with 2-3 weeks retouch). On the other hand, if the eyelash extension stays
perfectly in place during the entire lifespan of the natural lash (2-3 months on average),
'permanent' is a more appropriate word.
Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing Eyelash Extensions?
Yes. The bonding agent we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise
etc. Special care is required but overall maintenance is low. We do recommend
however that you do not wash your eye area for approximately 6-8 hours after the
eyelash application. Using goggles while swimming are highly recommended.
Can I use eyelash curlers with Eyelash Extensions?
We do not recommend using mechanical eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions as
these curlers will damage the extensions and possibly your own natural lashes. The
extensions do have a natural curl so most people find they don't need to curl them
further.
How do I take care of my new Eyelash Extensions?
●Do not get lashes wet for 6-12 hours after application
●Avoid hot steam or sauna
●Avoid running water directly on your lashes
●Do not rub your eyes
●If applying mascara do so from middle to tip, avoid root area
●Use water based eye makeup remover
●Do not perm your lashes
●Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler
●Do not pull on your lashes (this may cause your natural lashes to come out
prematurely)
How long will it take to apply Eyelash Extensions and how is it done?
The application process for lash extensions normally takes 1.5- 2.5 hours with an
experienced technician. You will lay comfortably on our leather chaise lounge with your
eyes closed. The Eyelash professional will then apply an under eye gel pad to cover
your lower lashes. The extensions will then be applied to each individual eyelash with a
specially designed bonding agent.
How do I choose the look I want?
Eyelash extensions are available in a number of lengths and thicknesses. We consult
with you first to see what type of style you are interested in and we also determine what
your lashes can hold in regards to length and size. Each person's lashes will vary so we
take this into consideration when creating a look for you. The overall goal is for the
lashes to look glamorous but natural.
Can the eyelash extension be removed?
Yes, at any time for any reason! If you have had an improper eyelash extension
application somewhere other than or simply wish to remove them, we provide that
service here at the studio. It is a simple procedure that doesn't take long and we have a
specially formulated removal solution that will break down the glue and safely remove
your extensions without damaging your natural lash. Please do not attempt to remove
the lash extensions yourself as this will cause premature pulling out of your natural
lashes.
Are eyelash extensions suitable for everyone?
Anyone of any age can have eyelash extensions applied as long as there is a natural
lash to glue the extension onto. Ladies who have undergone chemotherapy (and their
lashes are starting to grow back) are a great candidate as well as people who wear
contact lenses and glasses). if you have a few lashes and have gaps in between, we
encourage you to using lash growing serum to promote your natural lashes grow-in
fuller before adding in more lashes.
