Jeroen will give a talk entitled “2D Integrable models from 4D Chern-Simons theory”, based on a series of papers on Gauge Theory and Integrability by Costello, Witten and Yamazaki. Here is the abstract:
Abstract: In this talk I will discuss some aspects of the series of papers on "Gauge Theory and Integrability" by Costello, Witten and Yamazaki. In these works, a method of constructing 2D integrable field theories from 4D Chern-Simons theory is introduced. I will give a short introduction to integrability, describe the above method in generality and apply it to the concrete example of the principal chiral model.
