Abstract: I will try to convey the general idea behind the mathematical program "Gauss Manin connection in disguise", started in arXiv:1110.3664 by Hossein Movasati, which has since found applications in physics. My talk will be based on different elements from arXiv:1410.1889, arXiv:1603.09411, arXiv:2008.06523 .
