I have a lot of things that I hope to see and to learn on this trip. One thing that I am looking forward to learning is more about each important person in American history that made a huge difference. I can not wait to experience a lot of new things in a place where you learn so much about history, one of my favorite subjects in school. One thing that I really want to see is the memorials and the museums. I also look forward to getting to know the people that I am going to work with for a week. Again thank you so much for choosing me to go on this field trip.

I am really looking forward to this Washington D.C trip because it would be a great opportunity to learn more about the history of the country I live in. It would be an opportunity to grow as a leader and as a mature 8th grader who would set the path for other scholars in the 6th and 7th grade to follow. Our community and our school are really needing good and strong leaders, and I think this is an opportunity for all of us to become warriors and to change our community for good. I am also looking forward to this trip because it was one of my dreams since I came here to the USA. I used to wonder where the President lives and when I came from Colombia I only saw the White House on TV. I also want to learn a lot about the monuments and places where our leaders and the people who created the USA history are. Last but not least, I am excited to show how wonderful this experience was to my family who will not yet have this opportunity.

My dream since President Obama became president was to go to Washington DC, and now that I have the opportunity to go. I really want to see the White House, Lincoln Memorial, and all of the other cool things about Washington DC. Also, I think I will have a great experience in Washington because I will get to know more people.

I am really looking forward to going to DC. I hope to learn more about the monuments of important people. I want to visit many places where people gave speeches or made decisions to help us in the future. I am really excited because I am going to go to the capitol of the country in which I live in. Going to DC will be a great opportunity for me to get to know the country better.

I am really looking forward to see the White House in Washington DC. I'm also looking forward to see the Lincoln Memorial in person and learning about the history of Washington DC. I want to see how life is outside of Oakland and meet different people and learn about them. I also want to learn things I didn't know so I can tell my family and they can learn it too. I want it to be the best experience ever!

I am very excited to go to D.C. Something I would really want to see in Washington is the White House. The reason is that I want to learn why it was built and all the important stuff about it. I am looking forward to seeing other people and becoming friends with them. I am so happy that I am going to the nation's capital!

I would like to see the White House because it is an important place that everyone would like to visit. I am also excited to see the statue of Lincoln, because he is a really important up-stander for the Blacks' freedom!
This is a really important trip to me because I've been selected for the effort I put into my work. Thanks to Mr. Guikema who has taught us a lot, I am going to learn from new experiences that I will get to share with my family and friends. Thanks, also, to the people who are donating money to help all of us go to Washington DC. Because of this, I am going to travel to another place, I wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to visit.
What I’m looking forward to see on this trip toWashington DC is so many beautiful things that here in Oakland you can’t seem to find! Washington is a place where a lot of history takes place and that means that there will be a lot of things I want to see and explore. One of the things I would want to learn during this trip is to know so many facts about the White House that textbooks and magazines don’t mention. I also want to learn about other people who are coming to this trip from all over the country. I want to learn about the ways they live and how it is different from us. The final thing I want to learn about is the Declaration of Independence because the Declaration holds a big piece of history which I want to learn more about. I would be really ecstatic if I learn all these things in the trip to Washington DC, that’s why I’m really looking forward to going on this trip out of California to Washington DC.
