We are traditional artisans of Kutch who used to design, produce handicrafts and sell directly to our customers and that's why we had a stronger relationship with our customers, who were proud to wear or use our products. They were not only praising our crafts but also ensuring our financial sustainability. Due to this straight connection our relationships with our customers used to turn into friendship for generations.
Unfortunately, since the industrial revolution took over the world, we artisans on the ground are facing many challenges. These challenges are not only limited to our businesses but also to the society, environment and to the entire world. UAK is a chance to connect you straight with some of these very talented and genuine artisans of Kutch, which would be very difficult for you to do on your own.
UAK is a kind of modern bridge taking you straight in the world of traditional artisans and their unique craftsmanship. It's not a typical E-Commerce website that encourages you to buy, it's more of an opportunity to peep into India's traditional artisans' lives and learn about them and learn how to "Buy Less, Appreciate More" :-)
