Church Leadership
Our church is a congregational church where each member has a vote. We hold annual meetings to elect board members and officers and to establish a budget. Special meetings are held throughout the year as needed.
We are governed by means of committees. The main committee is the Cabinet, comprised of the moderator of the church, the clerk of the church, and the chair of each of the governing committees. Its job is to coordinate and oversee the work of the church. Currently, Tyler Williams is the moderator and Deb Jenkins is the clerk of the church.
The Trustees take care of the upkeep of the building and watch over the church finances. Currently, Dennis Schmidt is the chairman of this committee.
The Christian Education Committee oversees the education of the children and adults in the church as well as special events. There is also a Jr. Choir. We co-host VBS with two other churches every third year. Currently, Deb Jenkins is the chairman of this committee. Megan Nunns and Valerie Turner are the junior choir directors.
Christmas Program 2012
The Worship and Music Committee oversees the worship services. They also coordinate the music program of the church. They oversee membership rolls and some fellowship activities. Cheryl Myers is the chairman of the committee. Karen Kohler is the director of the bell choir and the senior choir.
The Mission and Outreach Committee coordinates our global and local mission projects, one of which is the Christmas Store. Currently, Alice Tatro is the chairman of this committee.
We have a Pioneer Manor Board which is an advisory board for Pioneer Manor, a local 19-unit income-based apartment complex.
Women's Fellowship is comprised of all the women of the church. Currently, Deb Barbur is the chairman of this group.
The Pastoral Relations Committee serves as a liaison between the congregation and the pastor. Currently, this committee is not in force until a settled pastor is found.
