The Sardinian Project

The Corti Brothers works with Sardinia

Darrell Corti was hired to consult and promote a revolutionary new extraction process of Extra Virgin Olive oil and hold a special media event to promote Sardinian foods in the fall of 2009 by government representitives of the province of Oristano, Sardinia. He arranged a symposium for 35 California Olive Oil producers at the University of California at Davis to hear of this revolutionary new process. Our production team was present to capture video of this event.

One week later, Darrell arranged for a 5 course luncheon to be held at Valentino, the famous Italian restaurant in the Los Angeles area. Darrell collaborated on the menu with Sardinian born chef Nico Chessa. Darrell had the ingredients flown in from Sardinia for this meal. One of the media guests Darrell invited was S. Irene Virbila, restaurant critic of the Los Angeles Times. Our production team was also present to film the luncheon. The luncheon was a very big success. S. Irene Virbila was so delighted that she returned a number of times overt the next few months and wrote this review:

Darrell's influence was the catalyst for new direction at Valentino and a new head chef. We are not able to post video of these events presently, as they are part of a future strategy.

Here are two behind the scenes raw footage videos at Valentino.
