●Philosophy

Music is a universal language that is understood by all people whether in written or aural form. Music transcends barriers of ethnic backgrounds, economic status, language and even literacy in its power to reach the depths of the human soul.

Although this group tends to be mainly performance-based, or within the psychomotor/skill domain of learning, the thought process necessary to fully involve oneself with the ensemble lends itself to the development of both the cognitive/logical and affective/expressive domains of learning. The skills and knowledge learned through participation in this ensemble will be taken and applied throughout the experiences.
