All Band Booster Board positions are up for election! Nominations will be accepted via email through April 19 and in person at the Parent Meeting on the same date. Elections will then be held at our May 24th Parent Meeting.
If you are interested or would like to nominate someone else, please email trumantigerband@gmail.com The email should include your name along with the band member’s name and the position or positions applying for.
Remember, your student must be in good standing with the band and you must have attended 3 Parent Meetings from September 2022 to April 2023 to run for a position.

POSITION DESCRIPTIONS
The role of Band Booster board member is a year-long commitment from the start of the band season July 1st until the end of the band season on June 30th.
All Boosters are required to have or obtain a current volunteer badge from the school district.
All positions are expected to appear at band concerts, events, parades, fundraisers, etc. where boosters are working and assist with other duties as assigned when necessary.
EXECUTIVE BOARD
President:
Oversees all aspects of the band booster program to ensure all band events and responsibilities are led effectively by communicating consistently with the Band Director and professional staff.
Acts as a Booster representative with school administration, school district officials, and the public.
Delegates duties to executive board and Members at Large.
In charge of ordering all items needed for band-related events.
Leads all booster meetings and is a co-signer on organization funds.
Vice President:
Assists the president to ensure all band events and responsibilities are led effectively
Assumes the president's duties in the officer's absence
Manages the Vendor Portion of our Annual Santa Breakfast.
Treasurer:
The treasurer keeps a detailed account of all expenses and funds, prepares student account statements, collects receipts and bills for all disbursements, and is a co-signer on organization funds.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports
Responsible for handling all booster funds including deposits & outgoing checks
Maintain accounting for general fund and student accounts
Maintain records to include a ledger of all band member accounts (Records are cross-referenced with book maintained by Vice-President)
Reconcile monthly bank statements
Prepare 1099 forms for staff
Secretary:
Must be present at all meetings and record meeting minutes accurately.
Upload all documents to the google drive.
Disseminate Remind App Updates.
Manage and update Google Website.
In charge of communication to parents/guardians.
Support other Executive Board Members as necessary.
Assist President with organizing meeting agendas.
Maintain emergency contact list of band members, returned forms spreadsheet, volunteer/meeting attendance and other reports as needed, updating periodically for accuracy.
Prepare packets and membership handbooks for summer registration and informational meetings.
Responsible for filing of paperwork and receipts in student files.
MEMBERS AT LARGE
Uniforms (2):
Must be available during band camp for uniform fitting and assignment
Must be present for all home and away games, competitions and parades, to help assist with any uniform needs, repairs and to make sure that uniforms are properly stored after each event
Needs to have at minimum basic sewing skills.
Good fine motor skills required (uniforms are shortened and lengthened via tiny snaps.)
Must be able to bend and sit on the floor to help with uniform fitting / repair.
Equipment (2):
Responsible for coordinating the movement of band equipment during home and away football games, marching competitions and special events such as parades
Other duties include organization of the band shed by the field, loading trucks for competitions and assisting the band director and staff in moving their equipment.
Stands (2):
Responsible for filling coolers with ice and water for home and away football games, marching competitions and special events such as parades
Distribute water during these events to the band members
Reserve seating for our band members in the stands
Gather empty water bottles after events
Must stay by the band members throughout the event
Fundraising (2):
Organize fundraising events and identify fundraising opportunities with local businesses
Distribute materials to band members
Retrieve payments for fundraisers and give to the treasurer
Maintain a spreadsheet for all funds earned for student accounts and booster accounts, which will be forwarded to the treasurer.
Distribute any applicable deliveries to band members
Recruit parent volunteers as needed to aid in distribution of ordered items.
