Post date: May 31, 2013 9:50:00 PM

Arrival

We recommend that parents/guests arrive around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday night. Staff will be waiting at the Welcome Center near the parking lot to check in guests. All guests must check in and wear a wrist-band. Maps will be provided. The Blank Dining Hall will be open for Scouts and leaders camping at Camp Mitigwa. Meals will be sold for Family Night to guests and family members for the nominal fee of $6.00 per person. If you choose to feed your guests the best method is to arrange for a family to purchase meal tickets in advance through the Camp Business Manager.

Parking

A parking lot is provided for leaders and visitors. ONLY CAMP VEHICLES ARE PERMITTED BEYOND THE PARKING LOT ON THE CAMP SERVICE ROADS.

Guidelines for Visitors

For the safety of our Scouts, all visitors to camp are required to check in at the camp office upon arrival. Since Camp abounds with wildlife, pets of any type are not allowed at Camp Mitigwa, including pets that can be carried. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings and program areas. Be sure to bring insect repellent, a flashlight, and wear comfortable shoes. Camp roads and trails are not paved and can be rough – take care and Be Prepared.
