Hawk Eye 2014 Spring Fishing Camporee

Date Time: Friday 4/26/14 5pm to Sunday 4/28/14 10am
Location: Izaac Walton League, Newton, IA
Scouts will have the opportunity to work on the Fishing &/or Fly Fishing Merit Badge, AND for scouts that are Age 13 and older and are at least First Class Rank they can sign up for a hunter's safety course. Scouts signing up for hunter's safety must complete an online prep class and bring the completed printed certificate from that course to the camporee to receive full hunter's safety certification. Scouts will need to do the online class at either www.HUNTERcourse.comor at www.hunter-ed.com/iowa then they need to print the "day pass" at the end and bring it with them. In addition they will need to got to http://reservations1.usedirect.com/IowaWeb/ and create a student account so they can be added to the class participant list later ... make sure your scouts know they MUST do this to be in the hunters safety class. No scout can be allowed in the session without this completed.
We are looking to include an opportunity to cook a fish as required for the badge as well.... Sign your scouts up now and plan to attend the 2014 Hawk Eye Spring Hunting and Fishing Extravaganza. Fee: $7 for Scouts and $5 for Adults through Sunday April 20th. After 4-20-14 the fee goes up to $10/$8 respectively. Download the Leaders Guide and detail packet here.
