O projeto Trilha da Matemática (Math Trail) envia professores e alunos para fora das salas de aulas, para criar problemas que são baseados no que eles encontram no âmbito escolar ou no âmbito das comunidades. Em nossa trilha matemática, os alunos trabalharão em times. Eles documentarão o trabalho desenvolvido através de narrativas, fotografias, desenhos e mapas, que possui como objetivo, criar trilhas que comecem e terminem numa placa localizada numa das paredes do edifício escolar em que eles estudam. As trilhas se enredarão pelas ruas das vizinhanças de Ouro Preto, que conterão paradas em locais específicos, nos quais os alunos encontrarão exemplos de aplicação da matemática. Cada time elaborará um “portfolio” matemático de trilhas que poderá ser compartilhado com os pais e também com os demais alunos da escola.
The Math Trail (Trilha da Matemática) invites professors and students outside of classrooms to create problems based on what they find in their school and community environment. In our trail, the students will work in teams to document their work with photographs, drawings, narratives and maps to create trails that begin and end at a plaque on the wall of their school building. The trails wind through the streets of Ouro Preto’s neighborhoods with stops at locations where they have found examples of mathematics. Each team will create a math trail book that can be shared with other students and parents.
