Acquired Brain Injury Ireland Fundraiser
The club would like to thank all our club members who participated in the charity soccer match between Tremane GAA club and Rahara Rovers in Rahara on St Stephens Day in aid of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. They were joined by members of Athleague GAA Club, Fuerty GAA club and Roscommon soccer club. The match was played in terrible conditions and it was a tribute to all involved that they provided an entertaining match that ended 3-3. The club would like to thank everyone that attended the match and contributed to the fundraiser. A total of €1200 was raised on the day. That night in Hamrocks Athleague, a further €790 was privately donated.
On the night of the Tremane GAA Annual Christmas draw, a raffle was preceded in aid of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. The raffle was for a Dr Crokes of Kerry jersey signed by Colm Cooper, donated by Seamus Bracken and a hamper donated by Martin Conneally Jnr, there was also two bottles of whiskey donated by Pat Mullen and Mike Lynch. When the first ticket was drawn, it was decided to auction off the hamper and it was bought by Peter Mullen, Roscommon. The jersey was won by Johnny Haughey, Athleague. The bottles of whiskey were won by Lorcan Dowd and Mike Mannion. The club would like to thank everyone who supported the fundraising raffle and to everyone who helped sell the raffle tickets on the night. A total of €760 was raised on the night. With further donations, a total of €2810 was presented to Imelda Walsh of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland this week.
Well done to all involved in the fundraising events that will be of great benefit to many.
