Club Championship Semi-Final

Tremane exited the Roscommon senior hurling championship at the semi final stage last Saturday in Athleague after a two point defeat to Four Roads on a scoreline of 2-11 to 2-9. After a slow start, the second half produced some excellent hurling but with a combination of having to reduce a superior score difference and having a player dismissed early in the second half, the task in hand was a bit too much for the lads.

Tremane Team list:

Kevin Kellehan, Michael Somers, Johnny Blighe, Joe Moran, Adrian Flanagan, Brian Keenan, Joe Brennan, Sean Melia, Niall Keenan, Adrian Daly (0-1,free), Michael Keaveney (0-4, all frees), Sean Mahony, Peter Kellehan, Niall Kilroy (1-2), Frank Carr (1-1). Subs used: Padraig Brennan (0-1) for Adrian Daly (half-time).

Subs: Brian McGarry, Enda Keaveney, Padraig Brennan, Francis Kelly, Dean Carr, Bernard Haughey, Warren Boyle, Michael Lynch, Peter Lynch, Adrian Kelly, Ivan Purcell, Walter Young.

The club wants to thank the management team of Padraig Keenan, Jack Kilroy and Brian Mc Garry for all their effort throughout the year. We also want to thank our kitman Padraig Cronin, physios Paula Daly, Seamus Hunt and Therese Leahy.

Thanks to Sean Melia and Padraig Cronin for sponsoring the post match food during the year. To all who helped look after the pitch, especially the hard work of Enda and Mike Keaveney, Tom Daly for the use of his tractor and Adrian Daly for marking the pitch.

Finally, the club wants to thank all our supporters who followed us around the county during the year. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a county final to look forward to but hopefully the team can build on the good progress made this year and we can go one step further next year!
