Tremane GAA Club Notes 31/12/2013

The Tremane GAA Club annual Christmas draw tickets are on sale now, with over €2500 worth in prizes and a first prize of €1000. As this is the clubs main fundraiser for the coming year, your support will be much appreciated. Contact any club member for details. The draw will take place at the club social night on the 3rd of January in the Bridge House, Athleague.

On St Stephens Day, Tremane Hurling Club and Rahara Rovers Football Club played their annual charity football match at Clover Park, Rahara. All funds raised from the match were donated to Duchenne Muscular Distrophy (DMD), which is a degenerative disease of the muscles of the body of which there is no cure at present. This charity has come to prominence recently with the news that a family in Roscommon has THREE boys with this terrible disease. A great number of players turned out for the match in perfect conditions and provided an entertaining match for all who attended. The Tremane club would like to thank all who donated to the charity on the day.

In addition to this, on the night of the the Tremane Christmas draw, there will be a raffle to raise further funds for the charity.If anyone can help us out in any way please contact Martin Conneally or Adrian Daly for details. If you can donate gifts, vouchers, cash, services etc for the night of the raffle it would be most appreciated.
