TRB Annual Meeting
Business meeting held
1. Over 51 attendees
2. Through unsolicited submissions and a Call for Papers issued jointly with the Critical Transportation Infrastructure Protection and Network Modeling Committees, the subcommittee received scores of papers in August 2013. Although all of the papers were reviewed jointly by members of the three committees, the evacuation task force was assigned primary review responsibility for 43 of the submissions. From these, one podium session and one poster session were developed:

Conferences and Special Journal Issues
The third NEC was held at New Orleans in January of 2014. The conference was sponsored by numerous federal agencies through its partnership with the International Disaster Conference and Exposition . More than 60 speakers from around the U.S. and abroad presented on a variety of topics related to evacuation. The research presented at this conference will lead to thedevelopment of a special issues of Special Issue of the Journal of Emergency Managament which is expected to be published in late 2014.
Midyear Meeting
The date and location of the 2014 mid-year meeting has not been announced but is expected to once again be held in conjunction with the TRB Transportation Hazards and Security Summit, Irvine, California.
