Orange-billed Nightingale-Thrush - Cameron Co., April 8, 1996. One at Laguna Atascosa NWR, Cameron, on 8 April 1996,TBRC# 1996-59, TPRF 1493. A photograph of this first record for United States was published in Field Notes 50:304.
Discovered in a mist net during banding operations, this is a first record for the U.S.
A 2nd Texas and U.S. record was obtained when one was found dead below a window in Edinburg, Hidalgo county, Texas on 28 May 2004
