Reading Partnerships

Students at Hawley Elementary are lucky to team up with some of the sports teams in our area to promote reading. The Minnesota Timberwolves, The Fargo Force, and The FM Redhawks offer opportunities for students to earn rewards through reading. One of the prizes includes tickets to watch a game! What do students need to do to participate?

FILL OUT THEIR DAILY READING LOG! Starting November 1st all 5th grade students will need to keep track of pages read as well as the time that they have read each day. They will turn these in on Mondays and receive a new one each week. Parents please initial the reading log, just as you have done in the past for AR Logs.

Fargo Force Reading Program

Time: November 5- January 5Read 500 total pages to receive the following:* Timberwolves Prize* Bookmark & Poster* Ticket to a designated Timberwolves gamePAWS For Reading ContestStudents will read for team Cats or Dogs in an online competition. For every 20 minutes read, Scholastic Book Club will donate a book to a child in need.
