Photographs

Walkers with Ramblers will sometimes wish to take pictures whilst on walks and these may include photographs of people. This does not automatically mean walkers have given their consent to have their photograph taken. While most people do not express concern, they have the right to object without giving a reason why they don't wish to have their picture taken. Photographers need not directly and actively seek the permission of the group before taking pictures but should not hide what they are doing. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please let the photographer know. If a picture has been taken before you have had a chance to object, then you may ask to see the image without prejudice and ask the photographer to delete it, which they should do immediately on request. Photographers are expected to use their judgement in assessing each image in case there is a chance any person in it could be upset or offended by its nature. Photographs should not automatically be uploaded to the internet at the time they are taken.

If a member of Ramblers sees an image on the Club website that includes a picture of them that they object to in any way, they should email Bob Prince, spred@blueyonder.co.uk who will remove it at the earliest opportunity.
