Volunteer

Readers volunteer in the classroom once a month to share a picture book and lead a discussion and activity that builds social-emotional and life skills. The idea is to build a relationship as an additional caring adult in the students’ lives over the course of the year. The books, topics and activities all come from Project Cornerstone, and we have some flexibility to modify them as we see fit for our community.  

A room lead is a parent/guardian that supports the teacher in whatever way is needed -- coordinating volunteers in the classroom, organizing holiday parties, collecting classroom donations, etc.  They really get to know the kids in the class and the teacher, so this can be a very rewarding role!  

Living classroom is our hands-on program for learning about nature!  If you'd like to help teach our kids about gardening, this is for you! Opportunities happen throughout the year.

We let the teachers know how much we love them by providing snacks and signs during Teacher Appreciation Week (which is during the spring).  We'll need shoppers (who are reimbursed) and also donations. 

Ms. Baikie, our amazing librarian is hoping to open the library to 3rd-5th graders to play games and do crafts during lunch. Assistance with coordinating the crafts would be greatly appreciated. This can include: Coordinate bookstore community fundraiser night, Help out with book/curriculum organization in the library at individually scheduled times. 

Mrs. Lyons and the PTA host monthly Coffee with the Principal events.  These will be on Fridays before school.  We need someone help facilitate the event by picking up the coffee and donuts and setting up the table. 

This fun event celebrates children and their cultures!  We will have snacks, prizes, games, etc!  Volunteers will be needed to serve food and run games and prize stations. Also, donations are needed. It will take place in the spring 

Help us chronicle a fun year of events, activities and learning. 

The Yearbook includes 44 pages of class/school memories, as well as 2 custom pages of your own making.

We would LOVE it for you to step up and lead an after school clubs - soccer, robotics, dance, nature, photography, science, whatever you want to teach!   You can work with the principal to set the time that works best with your schedule.
