Knights of the Sky

In this campaign various squads are pitted against each other in a weekly battle. Depending on the success, the squads will be assigned new and or better aircraft.

Campaign Rules

WINNING CONDITIONS

The campaign will be fought over a number of weeks/sessions, each session lasting 3 hours.
Victory will be decided by the faction with the most points after six weeks (sessions) using the ingame scoring system. At the end of each session, each factions point total will be recorded and added onto any previous sessions total.

BATTLE MAP/OBEJCTIVES/AIRFIELDS

The battle map will contain airfields dependant on the number of squadrons involved in the campaign, each squadron will have there own airfield with which to conduct operations from.
There will be an equal number of objectives per faction (four), as one is destroyed/completed it will be replaced at the beginning of the next session.
The map will be made and maintaned/updated by the syndicate squadron, once per week ready for the next session.

LIFE/DEATH

Lives are unlimted in regards to the campaign and flying every session, IF YOU ARE KILLED OR CAPTURED DURING A SINGLE SESSION THEN YOU CANNOT TAKE ANY FURTHER PART IN THAT SESSION, you may resume again on the next session.

AIRCRAFT

All squadrons will begin day one with the frontline aircraft of their choice, these aircraft are unlimited.
In order to acquire a prize aircraft, a certain condition must be met:- FOR EVERY ONE PILOT IN THE SQUADRON 2 KILLS MUST BE ACHIEVED BY THE SQUADRON AS A WHOLE e.g SYN has five pilots therefore between them they must achieve ten kills in order to recieve a prize aircraft. (the first time a squadron meets this condition they receive one prize plane per pilot).

Once a particular aircraft is selected, it cannot be changed throughout the campaign!!!

When a prize aircraft is destroyed, it is removed from the squadron pool.
There are numerous ways a squadron can receive more prize aircraft:
  • FOR EVERY FIVE SORTIES PER PILOT OVER 20 MINUTES IN LENGTH (TAKE OFF AND LANDINGS) THE SQUADRON WILL RECEIVE ONE PRIZE AIRCRAFT.
  • FOR EACH OBJECTIVE COMPLETED BY FACTION (ENTENTE/CENTRAL), THAT FACTION WILL RECEIVE 2 PRIZE AIRCRAFT PER SQUADRON.
  • FOR EVERY FIVE CONSECUTIVE KILLS PER PILOT (ACE STATUS) A PRIZE AIRCRAFT WILL BE GIVEN TO THAT SQUADRON.
Any prize aircraft earned during a particular session, will be available at the beginning of the next session.

SOME IMPORTANT INFO:
Representatives from each squad will be named as C.O, these guys will be involved in planning the forthcoming mission, assigning roles for each squadron in attack/defence.

The session will run for 3 hours, 15 minutes before the 3 hour mark, a warning will be shown, asking all pilots to begin to make their way home, any aircraft in the air at the end of the mission will be considered destroyed, this is an important rule for one reason, to stop targets being attacked with 2 minutes left of the 3 hours so they run away safely knowing the mission will end.

Pilots can join and leave during the 3 hours, but please remember, DEAD IS DEAD. CAPTURED IS CAPTURED !
