The Munros of Armadale, Sutherland

This website is to provide information about my ancestors, a large Munro family, who lived in the village of Armadale, parish of Farr, county of Sutherland, Scottish Highlands in the late 18th century and early 19th century. (Parish of Strathy from 1833 onwards). The family starts with Alexander Munro and his wife Barbara Mackay who had at least seven sons and one daughter.

The website will also include some historical information about the village of Armadale and the surrounding area pre-dating the 1841 census.
