James Munro (b.1791/1796) - named after his mother Barbara Mackay's possible father James Macky in Thurso, Caithness. Barbara may have also had a brother named James.
George Munro (b.1799) - named after his father Alexander Munro's possible father George Munro in Avoch, Ross-shire. His mother Barbara Mackay may have also had a brother named George.
Donald Munro (b.1802) - possibly named after Donald Simpson who was the husband of Katherine Munro who in turn may have been Alexander Munro's close cousin, both born in 1739 in Avoch, Ross-shire, and Donald Simpson having replaced Alexander Munro in his tenancy in Resolis, Ross-shire in 1772-1776. Katherine Munro could be the third female in Alexander Munro's house on the 1811 census. All this is pure speculation.
Gabriel Munro (b.1804) - named after Gabriel Reed a leading sheep farmer in Sutherland who lived in Armadale.
Honyman Munro (b.1806) - named after William Honeyman, Lord Armadale.
Chirsty or Christina Munro (b.1808) - possibly named after Alexander Munro's possible sister, Chirsty or Christian Munro, who was born in 1734 in Avoch, Ross-shire.
Mackay John Scobie Munro (b.1812) - Mackay was his mother's maiden name, she also had a brother named John, Scobie was a name from the family of his elder brother Donald Munro's wife Georgina Scobie Ann Mackay by her full name, and he lived with them in Armadale in the 1830s and in Edinburgh in the 1850s.
Catherine Munro (b.1817) - possibly named after the above mentioned possible close cousin of Alexander Munro, Katherine Munro, both born in 1739 in Avoch, Ross-shire. If Alexander Munro was born in 1739 and lived to the winter of 1834/35 then his possible female cousin, also born in 1739, could be the third female in his house on the 1811 census and therefore been like an aunt to James Munro (b.1796). The Katherine Munro who was born in 1739 in Avoch, Ross-shire married Donald Simpson and he replaced Alexander Munro in his tenancy in Resolis, Ross-shire in 1772-76. Katherine therefore may have removed with Alexander to Sutherland in 1784. All this is pure speculation.
John Munro (b.1819) - name after his maternal grandfather John MacIntyre.
John Munro (b.1826) - named after his maternal grandfather John Mackay.
Jane Scobie Munro (b.1829) - Scobie was a family name on her mother's side of the family.
James Munro (b.1832) - named after his paternal uncle James Munro (b.1796)
Johan Mackenzie Munro (b.1833) - Mackenzie was the maiden name of her maternal grandmother.
Alexandrina Munro (b.1836) - named after her paternal grandfather Alexander Munro.
Catherine Munro (b.1839) - named after her maternal grandmother Catherine Mackenzie.
Janet Mackay Gordon Munro (b.1840) - Mackay was her mother's maiden. However, as her parents were apparently cousins, Donald Munro's mother Barbara Mackay and Georgina's father John Mackay may have had a sister named Janet Mackay who was married to William Gordon and who lived in Armadale.
