Peak Bagging

Peak Bagging is a hiking, rock climbing, or backpacking sport in which you try to climb as many significant (5,000 feet or more) peaks as you can.

The idea came from The Southern California Sierra Nevada Club who has a one hundred peaks section. This group tries to hike 100 significant peaks in So Cal.

The Peakers

There is a group of The Longwalkers known as "Peakers" these are members who are into peak bagging and are trying to claim as many peaks as possible.
