The Plan:

Pack up the van and leave Saturday 2-22-14 at 6am. We get to the San Jacinto ranger station around 8am to pick up a wilderness permit. Park at the deer creek trail head and start hiking. Hike all day to get to the Little Round Valley camp ground (about 8 miles from the trail head). Set up camp and spend the night. Sunday morning we leave our gear at the camp and summit the mountain. After we summit, head back down to the camp, pack and then hike back down to the car. 20 miles round trip.
