Homeschool STEAM

STEAM classes revolve around a science, math, or engineering topic. Gathering time involves free play and social time among the students. The remaining time introduces the topic, vocabulary, and hands-on activities to explore ideas.

The curriculum is designed for students in grades 1-5, but students and siblings in other grades are welcome to participate.

Parents and guardians are welcome to drop off their children for class, they may participate with their children for portions of the lessons, or they may stay nearby within the building

STEAM classes are offered on a twice-monthly basis. Each month has one topic offered on two Tuesday afternoons. PRIMARY introduces the topic and REVISITED allows for follow-up activities and additional exploration and skill-building. Students can participate in either session or both for any topic.

If other days / times are better suited or a private session is preferred, send an email with preferences for discussion.

Location:  Most classes are held at New Disciples at 610 32nd Avenue SW Suite C  in Cedar Rapids. Just a few blocks from I-380 Exit 17.

Cost:  $10 per student.
