Blurb: To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss and strife to reach the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which two tribes hangs.
Now that Bella has made her decision, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating and unfathomable consequences Just when the frayed strands of Bella's life - first discovered in Twilight, then scattered and torn in New Moon and Eclipse - seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed... forever?
Favourite Character: Edward
Best Chapter in the Book: Chapter 18 (pages 348-360)
Comments: I thought this was a very fitting way to end the saga. I wasn’t exactly sure what to make of the child scene, I mean we all knew it was coming but I was a little unimpressed. Who names their kid that? I mean Bella would but I would have appreciated something that was a little less crazy.
I may be the only person that thinks this but the part with Nessie and Jacob was actually kind of cute. I think you need to read the book to understand it because honestly, listening to someone repeat it back to me, it just sounds creepy. Much like Edward being a hundred year old man but I think you have to just put things into perspective and remember that it’s just a book. Their going for the ‘wow’ factor and it makes the book unique in its own way.
I also liked the character flip halfway through the novel. It was cool to listen to Jake’s perspective on this and his opinions. I actually found a liking to Jake in this book again, which was rather surprising. His chapter titles were awesome! I actually started laughing reading a few of them and honestly altogether, Jake’s part was hilarious. I really enjoyed the view in his mind while Bella was like dying on a couch.
A wonderful way to end the series, although I would change a few things but nothing to major. The movies were pitiful but that’s okay because the books make up for them.
