Blurb: If you had met me a few weeks ago, you probably would have described me as an average teenage girl—someone normal. Now my life has changed forever and I’m as far away from normal as it gets. I’m a living science experiment—not only can I see ghosts, but I can raise the dead without even trying. Trust me, that is not a power you want to have. Ever. I’m running for my life with three of my supernatural friends and we have to find someone who can help us gain our freedom back before the Edison Group finds us first. Or die trying.
Favorite Character: Derek
Best Chapter in the Book: 23 (pages 276-284)
Comments: Kelly Armstrong never ceases to impress me with her amazing writing. This book was a particular favorite of mine, mainly because Derek and Chloe got closer as a couple. I could see that that was what everything was leading to and I was excited.
I always find the second book of any series the best; because that’s when I find everything starts to heat up. Kelly proved that theory well. If only there was more than three books in that particular series but, what can you do.
The only part I didn’t like about this book is that at the start I found it slow moving, but I slowly began to read it at night (which for some reason happens to be the time I read the best parts of my books) and I began to fall in love with it.
When I was younger I used to love fantasy and after I finished Inkheart (Slow moving but good) I thought there were no other good books with fantasy as their genre. This was actually the book that got me back into the fantasy realm. Congrats Kelly! For anyone looking for a good supernatural read, this is it!
