Thoughts on observations - Procedures ,Classroom Culture, rapport, adolescent behavior, non-cognitive skill support, attention to study skills, metacognition, etc

Example of Engagement (watch until 3:30, then ff to 8:30)

Discussion: Engage their students to maximize learning and avoid behavior problems: Marzano, TLAP, Lemmov, Schlecty, PrBL

Homework

1. Reading/Watching #5:

Be prepared to write about what you read/watched in class next week.

2. Observation Reflection #4: Briefly describe the class objective (SWBAT, standard), activity and teaching method for each different class (Summarize your notes from the observation form). In addition, describe the level of student engagement (Schlecthy). Did you see any Marzano or Lemmov strategies going on? Did teachers use complex instruction, PrBL, inquiry or math talks? How did they keep the students engaged in learning? Give specific examples. Due: End of week 6. Remember to submit your OR to the portal and to add it to our shared document)
