Question: If I already have information in a database about the documents I want to import into Trialdirector can I bring this information in with each document?
Answer - Yes - depending on the application database in which you have the data about the documents. For example here is the answer given by the Law application program:
http://tchall.com/Conversion.pdf
See this note from TrialDirector support about load files from other applications. Other applications can export the documents along with the data you have entered about them into a folder along with the 'load file' that brings the data you have in the other database such as Summation or Doculex or Opticon, etc into the Trialdirector database.
Accepted Batch Load File Formats
• OLL (TrialDirector®)
• DII (Summation®)
• LPT (IPRO®)
• TXT or DBF (Doculex®)
• LOG (Opticon® or generic load file)
So depending upon which database you have entered data about the documents, you may very well be able to use its export feature to export the documents with a load file for Trialdirector.
