Anandabodha Summer camp - 2014
Since few kids from the earlier camp were a repeat for this year, I planned to take a session on importance and method of debate (in the earlier days and now). But the session did not go as planned. Kids - around 18 of them in the same age group as earlier - wanted more and more clarifications on the apauruSheyatva idea. So most of this presentation was not actually delivered. But it was enchanting to see kids ask the relevant questions. Perhaps adults are more prone to ask tangential or irrelevant questions.
Anandabodha Summer camp - 2013
This year, Vijayananda and I conducted the same sessions that we covered last year - on epistemology (28th April 2013) and on 'God' (1st May 2013). The material was slightly modified from the last year's presentations. The audience i.e. ~ 15 children between 13-17 years of age - seemed to like the presentations. The presentations are attached to this page.
Anandabodha Summer camp - 2012
Srinidhi and I conducted two sessions, covering two topics, at the summer camp conducted by Anandabodha (www.anandabodha.org). They conducted a residential summer camp from 8th to 13th May 2012. The audience was a set of 15 children, from 13 to 17 years. The topics were 1. Epistemology and 2. God. The first one was received well because it was very interactive. The second one was just about ok. We had to rush through and consequently not much interaction :(
The presentations are modified versions of the presentations made at the class. This includes the discussion points, some of which were not in the original slides. (NOTE: The 2012 presentations are now in the archive).
Please note the age group of the audience and that the objective was to get them thinking on these lines. A happy moment was when the audience identified situations to refer to scripture.
