As of 2007 I decided to begin obtaining the various modules that were part of PAIA Corporation's (www.paia.com) 2700, 4700, 8700 & 9700 series so that I can make my own custom-made PAIA modular synthesizer. I remember when they first started out in the 1970's but I could not afford to buy anything from them back then. I knew that this could be an expensive endeavor to acquire each module that I need but for me to attempt to put together a Moog Modular synthesizer would be way too expensive and much much larger than I have the space for. I've been fortunate enough to have played a large Moog Modular synthesizer in 1974 & 1975 that is still owned by Morgan State University here in my hometown of Baltimore MD. All of these items were purchased from some of the same seller's at different times from eBay. I'm building a case for the modules which I hope to finish soon but no rush......I've only been waiting since 1973 to do this so what's a few more days, weeks or months at this point.
Here is the timeline of my Paia module acquisitions:

Here are some photos of the beginnings of my custom-made PAIA Modular Synthesizer project on my website,
http://sites.google.com/site/my-paia-modular-synthesizer-project. I began acquiring the individual modules from eBay as of December 2007. I work on it a little bit at a time & will hopefully have it finished by the Summer or Fall of 2008. The wood was pre-cut at Home Depot which saved me a lot of time, so I only had to design the layout of the case in my head then assemble the pieces. Hopefully I'll be able to have modules from PAIA's 2700, 4700 & 9700 series in this same case for a really powerful sound.
I still have to resume working on my 1st Analog Modular Synthesizer, http://sites.google.com/site/my-analog-modular-synthesizer-project, whose modules I'm designing & building myself. I've been working on that project since October of 2005 & hope to have it finished by sometime in Winter 2008 or 2009.
Here are some websites showing Paia modular systems that have been restored so you will have an idea of what my custom-made Paia modular system will look like.
