Eligibility, rules, and submission

Student Research Symposium: eligibility and rules

The Student Research Symposium is sponsored by Sigma Xi Columbia-Willamette Chapter, and in 2020 is held jointly with the Annual Meeting of the Oregon Academy of Sciences. The Symposium is open to undergraduate and graduate students in the sciences, social sciences, and engineering, from any academic institution in Oregon or Southwest Washington. All presentations are posters. A student cannot be lead author on more than one poster. Other students and faculty may be co-authors. The lead author must be present at the symposium to answer viewers' questions. The symposium organizers may recategorize abstracts and combine categories.

To be considered for a poster award, the primary student author must 1) submit an abstract to Sigma Xi C-W below, and 2) register for the Oregon Academy of Science meeting (students: $20).
