Stability testing

Dories are extremely stable in rough water. They are not boats for standing up and running around in. With that "V" bottom they want to lean to one or the other side. However tipping them over is very hard to do as the reserve bouyance is huge as these photos show.

Standing still, yep, she's stable.

Ok a slight lean to the side and I've put another board in the water.

Reaching for that water, but not wanting to go in.

Ok, now really lean over and see if I can wet that gunnel.

Now sitting way back in the stern, I've got the bow out of the water but the stern rail is no where near it.
