Sailing

Dories are notoriously tippy sail boats. That's because the hull is a "V" and when there is some wind it wants to lay over until there is enough bouyence to counteract the wind pressure. So it means the crew had better be able to sit on the rail. I haven't installed hiking straps. I was thinking a couple of rings in the hull and then I could tie in a strap if I needed it. But I don't race a dory and chances are if it's blowing that hard, I should be reefing instead.

It's a bit cramped for the crew unless you are sailing downwind.

Crossing a tide rip.

Working our way upwind. She's a little down at the bow, I should probably sit farther back but I'm still working on knowing what is the fastest way to sail in light winds....yeah I know, row!
