Advanced Ensemble

Advanced students can audition to be in the Advanced Ensemble 2025.  

The students in the Advanced Ensemble will perform and receive extra recognition during the Finale Concert, Thursday, June 26.

To be considered for the Advanced Ensemble, the student needs to perform Study No. 1, by Mateo Carcassi, using perfect "i-m" alternation technique, string markings and all position markers on the score.  Alternatively the student may play Study No. 9 with alternation, slurs and positions as marked in the score.

Both hands must be visible in the audition video.

Audition video recordings are due by June 10, 2025 at 11:00pm.

Students must play the piece from beginning to end (note there are 2 pages!)
