WILLIAM BOONE
1225 Everett Avenue Graduate of Sumner High School, received B.S. and M.S. degree in chemistry from Pittsburg State University. While teaching chemistry at Sumner High School his students won the Greater Kansas City Science Fair for a number of years. He served as principal of Northeast Jr. High School and Vice principal of F.L. Schlagel High School. After his retirement, he was elected to the School Board of USD 500. He is the author of “A History of Black Education in Kansas City, Ks. Readin’ ‘Riting “Rithmetic.
