Software

STEEMI will largely work with models expressed in System Dynamics notation. This notation, which is widely used and understood, is based on an intuitive notion of stocks of materials, and the flow of these materials between stocks. For example, a typical ecological model might represent stocks and flows of biomass, water and some nutrient.

There are a range of software tools that have been developed for System Dynamics modelling. This page documents those which are relevant to STEEMI, either because models selected for conversion have been implemented in them (e.g. Stella, Vensim), or because they are used for re-implementing teh model (Simile, Similette).
