EVENTS - 2017
Bark in the Park is an annual event put on by the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley to celebrate dogs and families. It's held at World's Fair Park in downtown Knoxville.
This year they wanted a petting zoo for the kids as well, so we volunteered to bring a couple of our llamas for the day. It was hot, but fun all around!

EVENTS - 2015
Again, in April of 2015, we took a couple of our llamas to The Great Llama Race. Sweet Dreams, again, ran with a total stranger. This time he stopped mid-way and wouldn't budge any further. He was working the crowd! We also took our little Red Baron to go through the obstacles course with little kids leading him around. He went through the course dozens of times and got pretty good at it! Fun day all around.

EVENTS - 2014
In April, 2014, Casa de Sara developed a unique fundraiser for their non-profit, a Great Llama Race! This is an all day event with llamas from all over, a parade of costumed llamas, displays from llama farms and vendors selling llama fiber products. The event is centered around several llama race heats where a local 'celebrity' will run a foot race with a sponsored llama in tow!
Many heats and laughter later, one llama is crowned the victor! Our Sweet Dreams ran in a heat (not very well, but he ran!) and our alpaca, Mr. B went to help the attendees learn about the differences between a llama and an alpaca. Much fun was had!

EVENTS - 2012
Alzheimer's TN - Smoky Mountain Walk
Each year the Alzheimer's TN chapter has various "walk to make Alzheimer's a memory" walks to raise support for their organization. We've done this walk in the past, but this October we noticed that pets were allowed on the walk! Of course we had to bring some llamas....and Fred the rooster.

SHOWS - 2011
We took our llama boys to the Tennessee Llama Show over Memorial Day Weekend, 2011. This time, the llamas did much better!
Our sons were the handlers. We entered the llamas in 7 different categories and came home with 9 ribbons!
16 year old son and his Red Baron placed First in 3 of their classes (obstacles, PR & Halter) and 2nd in Showmanship and ended up with Grand Champion for Senior Youth Performance!!
13 year old son and our pretty white, Sweet Dreams placed 5th & 6th in their performance categories (he's not a very cooperative llama); 1st in his Halter class and was Reserve Grand Champion in his fiber division (about 60 llamas in that division)!! Our youngest man actually did an arm pump and shouted "YES" in the Show Ring when the judge pointed to his llama as the winner.
We were so excited for him and his Reserve Grand over several other big breeder farms with veteran handlers and quality llamas. We just went for fun and to have the boys get experience in handling and PR for themselves. We had no idea our little Pasture Candies would receive such high honors!

SHOWS - 2010
This is the first show we've ever done with our llamas. We took them to the East Tennessee Llama Show in White Pine, TN in May, 2010.
Our boys and their young llamas did not show very well, but we learned a lot and had a fun time!
