A single 8 month old puppy. He is also from Young Williams Animal Center but will be adopting out through Knox Vintage Pet Project . He's absolutely the sweetest!

Group #36 - February 25, 2023
A single adult cat! The first of these that we've had here (normally it's kittens!) and also the FIRST foster from Young Williams Animal Center
Victoria (named after the white cat in CATS!) is an adult stray that needs some medical care. Not sure how long she will be hanging around at our house.
UPDATE: She healed up nicely and stayed with us four weeks. This happy, purry, sweet cat will make someone an excellent friend!!

Group #33 - February 6, 2021
A new group of orphan kittens: The Baudelaires - Violet, Klaus & Sunny. They are about 4 weeks old. (That's Klaus speaking up for his siblings!)
UPDATE: These precious, fluffies stayed almost 6 weeks. From bottle babies to big 2 lb kittens! Violet went home the very next day and Sunny & Klaus went home together!

This group is four 8 week old kittens that need a place to stay for a couple of weeks.

We picked up a group of tiny, four week old siblings. So cute, but really small for their age. We will call this the NYC litter: Brooklyn (b&w female laying on her back), Bronx (b&w male back right), Manhattan (b&w male on left), & Staten (grey & white male center)
UPDATE: This group stayed 30 days.

Group #28 - June 4, 2020 - THIS GROUP BRINGS US TO 100 FOSTER CRITTERS FROM HSTV THAT WE'VE HAD HERE!
Mama Daytona and four 5-week-old kitties need us for a while. Happy little family! Two boys (black & white) - Indy & Dover; two girls (grey tabby) - Charlotte & Bristol.
Update: Mama Daytona and boys, Indy & Dover stayed 4 weeks. The little girls, Charlotte & Bristol stayed 6 weeks. Such a fun family!

Group #27 - April 1, 2020
Ah, so now this group which features four tiny (about 3 days old) kitties and their Mama (Gigi) has arrived. They should be here a nice, long time since they are SO tiny!
Three girls (Glory, Gabby & Gayle) and one boy (Garth)
UPDATE#1: the tiniest kitty (Gayle) failed to thrive. 😥
UPDATE #2: Mama Gigi went to HSTV a week before the babies - after 8 weeks. The three kitties, went back to HSTV at 9 weeks old.
All the Kittens were adopted the day after they went back to HSTV - turns out little Gabby was a boy!

Group #26 - February 15, 2020 three rather hissy kitties have come to stay for a bit to get over their aversion to various interactions.
They are nine weeks old and came with these names -- Two boys: Nacho & Chili; one little girl: Tamale

Group #25 - two anxious kitties arrive on December 30, 2019 for a respite during the New Year holiday when the shelter will be closed. Orange, 2 month old Dougal already has a home picked out so he'll go back to HSTV on January 2nd and on to his furrever home. Grey, 3 month old Angus might stay longer as they both are very skittish.
UPDATE: Angus & Dougal went back after their three day holiday with us. Then on to Furever homes!

Group #24 - This FLUFFY group of 4 five-week-old babies and their mama came to HSTV from a partner shelter and then to us on November 18, 2019.
They already came with names from the other shelter:

UPDATE: Family went back to HSTV after four weeks. Such a sweet, quiet, fluffy group of love!
All went on to furrever homes within two days -- Whiskey and Wasabi got to go home together-forever!

Group # 22 - (which brings us up to 75 fosters from HSTV) are these three/four week old siblings.
We've dubbed them the Vine litter since 1) they cling to you, 2) they climb, and 3) they grow on you!

UPDATE: these littles arrived here just as we were told that others in the same transport have tested positive for panleuk. Unfortunately our little group started fading and Kudzu passed three days later. Still nursing the girls and we’re hopeful they will recover. UPDATE #2: Ivy passed late on day three and Glory passed in her sleep on day five.

Group #21: The Shoe Litter! These little 5 week old kittens arrived at HSTV from a partner shelter. They were already named, so here we have:

Our 20th Group of fosters from Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley!
A set of kittens from a partner shelter came into HSTV (and in turn, to us) on May 2, 2019, and although they are not a litter, they are family now! Four week old, Mikey; Five week old, Eleven; and Six week old Dustin & Lucas. The Stranger Things kitters!!

Well, we were asked to add in a single kitten found at a local restaurant, so on May 14th, 7 week old Will joins the Stranger Things litter!
UPDATE: Will & Dustin went back to HSTV after four weeks with us. They were immediately adopted! Mikey, Lucas & Eleven went back after 5 weeks. Lucas & Mikey were adopted TOGETHER!

This group: Mama Mia, Samantha, Gardner, Felicity, Kirsten & Addy were here for 7+ weeks. Such a fun "American Girl" litter!
Here they are at HSTV just after their spays. Little Kirsten, Addy & Gardner went home the next day after arriving at HSTV! The others within a couple days of going back.

Just ONE day after taking Fiona & Kaelin back to HSTV to be adopted in to Furever homes, we received a call that there was a tiny, abandon kitten brought in. He had been found at a local Weigel's Convenience Store. We drove over to get him on October 13, 2017. Here is four week old Weigel!
And exactly one week later (October 20) we receive a call that another single kitten has been brought in and would we like a sibling for Weigel.
OF COURSE! Kittens are always more well-adjusted cats when raised in litters. So meet 5 week old, Winnie!
UPDATE: These three were with us 6 weeks then returned to HSTV.
Five week old babies rescued from Florida during Hurricane Irma arrive at HSTV (among many other displaced pets). These two little girls, Fiona & Kaelin come to foster with us on September 14, 2017.

Three week old Verona was found abandoned at Norris Dam on Saturday, July 22, 2017. HSTV called us and we went to pick her up. It's odd having only one kitten here, but she's spunky!
UPDATE August 4, 2017: We asked for, and received a kitty sibling for Verona so she will grow up to be a more well-adjusted cat.

Four foster kittens arrive on April 20, 2017. Three black and one grey & white. They seem to be all females and about 3-4 weeks old:
UPDATE ON THESE KITTENS: Four females - Amber, Ruby, Sapphire and Pearl (the grey/white one). They stayed here 7 weeks and went back to HSTV on June 10, 2017.
Off to permanent homes for these precious babies!

Two foster llamas arrive on February 26, 2017: A 2-3 year old gelding (with white chin) that we named Kingston & an older, smaller female we named Sharona.
UPDATE: Sharona heads off to her new home on April 1, 2017. We think Kingston needs to stay here and join our herd!

New foster kitten arrives on October 11, 2016. He is a 3 month old Siamese/Manx mix. Because he is completely tail-less his spine didn't form properly at the end causing him permanent nerve damage. He kind of hops rather than walking normally. He cannot leap onto things as he has no back leg strength. He enjoys his time on the ground! Such a sweet kitty!

UPDATE: Rumbles headed back to HSTV on December 7, 2016. He was here 8 weeks and we love him so -- such a special little kitty. (Rumbles is adopted two days later!)

Two llamas arrive on September 27, 2016 for respite care after being seized from a neglect case.
So that makes 11 llamas here right now--The more, the merrier!

UPDATE #2: After a long court case, they are finally surrendered to SELR in mid-January. MJ (Mahogany Junior) and Carrie leave here after five months of rehabilitation, and head to their new (albeit separate) homes on February 11, 2017.
Carrie is a new resident of Horse Creek Stable Bed and Breakfast in Georgia.
UPDATE #2: Carrie moved on to TMMA Farms in Georgia in July, 2020 after Horse Creek Stable went into retirement.

Bring on more llamas!! Four new foster llamas arrived on September 9, 2016. One beautiful appaloosa gelding (Quito) and three younglings (Ramon, Victor & Fiero) -- all males. The three young boys (about 6-9 months old) have no halter training and no handling manners. They will be fun to work with!

New kittens, approximately 8 weeks old, arrived at our home on July 20, 2016. We have Neiman & Cat Jeffrey. Neiman needs lots of socialization as he is still quite feral. CatJeffrey is very outgoing!
*after five weeks of fun & games at our place, they returned to HSTV on August 27 ready to find furrever homes!
UPDATE: Neiman & Cat Jeffrey are adopted from HSTV together!! They get to be life-long brothers!

Blizzard and his sire, Casper, arrived here in December, 2013
Casper (DOB 4/28/2004) and Blizzard (DOB 8/20/2011) are very beautiful animals.
Blizzard is a bit more curious than his father,
but they both are calm and will make great pets for someone.
UPDATE: Casper and Blizzard have found homes! Blizzard left with Travis to the same home in May, 2014.

Three new fosters arrived on June 11, 2013.
We are having fun helping them unravel the mysteries of handling, haltering and leading.
Buster Brown (DOB 2006) is very thin, but very active!
UPDATE: Buster moved on to his permanent home in October, 2013
Reggie (DOB 2006) is pretty small and very social.
UPDATE: Sweet Reggie found a home in August, 2013.
Travis (DOB 2008) is larger than Buster and Reggie, and loves to just sit and look around.
UPDATE: Travis left with Blizzard to be buds at their new home in May, 2014.
A hot day in July requires some cooling off time in the pool and lounging in the shade for the foster boys!
