Time Out

DA students have a lot on their plates between their arts area and academic responsibilities. Then on top of that you have clubs, jobs, sports, social lives, family issues and so on. You are constantly stimulated and let’s be honest, addicted to your electronic devices. I feel exhausted just talking about it! You get good at what you practice and we, as a society are REALLY good and being stressed, busy, and distracted. So, if you, the students, begin to practice how to relax, reduce and relieve stress, and learn to focus, you, too, would get better at those things instead.

During TIME OUT my classroom a quiet, dimly lit, and peaceful space. Students will arrive during the 2nd half of Lunch & Learn by the bell, grab a mat and grab a spot to lay out.

If you sign then you agree to:

  • Arrive on time
  • Silence device, leave them in your backpack and purses
  • Place all belongings on the tables
  • Grab a mat and lay down in a place that allow ample space for others
  • Remain silent and still
  • Rest, nap or meditate
  • 5 min before the bell wipe mat, roll it up and place in the bin neatly
