Welcome to the
Sampford Peverell Team Mission Community

Our New Rector

Revd Rachel Dunn has been appointed as Rector of our Mission Community.

Rachel completed the first half of her training in the Pinhoe with Poltimore benefice where, as a Pioneer Curate, her main focus was on fostering relationships in the new housing developments.

She is currently finishing her role in the East Clyst Mission Community where the Rector, Revd Marc Kerslake, gave her delegated responsibility for St Andrew’s, Clyst Hydon and St James the Great, Talaton. She also worked alongside the Team Vicar, Revd Gudrun Thomas at St Michael and All Angels, Sowton.

Rachel loves working with people of all ages and is passionate about music and singing. She has worked in schools for a long time and is looking forward to working with the many schools across the Sampford Peverell Team Mission Community.

Revd Rachel, we look forward to welcoming you and your family to our Mission Community.

Join us in praying for Revd Rachel and her family as they prepare to move to our Mission Community. We pray that as they leave their current post and home that they will know God's blessing on them and that their move to our team will go smoothly.

Growing in Prayer Prayer is a life-giving activity that opens up deep places within us to God’s transforming grace.   Growing in prayer is essential if we are to become the people and the Church God calls us to be.Making new disciplesAs the Christian story is less and less known, we must find new ways of telling the story, of explaining the faith and giving a reason for the hope that is in us.  With Jesus Christ as our companion and guide we can travel through life differently.Serving the people of Devon with joyAs followers of Jesus Christ, we want to make a difference in the world and make God’s love and justice known. In our church life we seek to be local, participatory and outward looking.
