The attached file provides proposed changes to our By Laws that need to be approved by the general membership at the spring meeting. This will also include presentation of our 2013-14 budget. In order to provide the required 10 days notice for those not having email, we are slipping the spring meeting two weeks to give that additional time and avoid Easter weekend. More details on the spring meeting change to follow as soon as revised reservations are available.
The highlighted portions of the By Laws changes have been reviewed and recommended for approval by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors has not reached consensus on dog driver compensation changes. The change in dog driver compensation shown in 10.1 to 10.3 is that recommended by the By Laws committee. Section 10.4 represents an possible compromise of many views effective for one year. We have all spend a large amount of time on this issue and there are many divergent views. We are all struggling to reach a solution balancing justified benefit to the club with what is affordable. The Board of directors must reach consensus to formulate and propose a budget to the membership.
