Tuesday, October 21st

@ Field Trip to Vancouver!

Reminders:

• If you RSVP'd but realize you can't come, please call or text Sheena ASAP.

• If your child is coming with another family, please let us know in advance so we can get a permission slip signed. Otherwise, we'll have those on the ferry for anyone who still needs to sign one.

• SPIDER will cover the cost for students and one adult/student.

• Siblings and extra adults will need to cover their own costs for the day (transit, VSO ticket, ferry). The ticket is $12 for anyone over six months (payable in cash to Sheena, Kari, or Sheri). Transit and ferry you can pay yourselves.

Please bring:

• A water bottle, big lunch, and lots of snacks. We haven't planned on time to go buy food, but families can decide to duck off as needed so long as it fits the schedule.

• Appropriate clothing and shoes for walking around outside and playing at a playground before the show.

Details for the day:

8:15:am Families arrive at Langdale Ferry Terminal. Meet down by the old passenger ticket machines.

8:40am Ferry departs

9:30am Ride public transit to downtown

10:30 Visit the Vancouver Public Library

11:30 Walk to Rainbow Park to play and eat lunch

12:00 pm Arrive at The Orpheum Theatre

12:15 Show time! "Wall to Wall Percussion" presented by the VSO

2:30 pm Leave to catch transit to the ferry

3:45 Arrive at Horseshoe Bay

4:45 Ferry Home

5:30ish Head home!

Thursday, October 23rd

@ Haida Lodge, Camp Byng

Please Bring:

• 1. 1. • A garbage free, nut aware lunch (which means nuts are okay, but must be eaten carefully and hands washed afterwards)

        • A full water bottle

        • A safe and well-fitted bike and helmet to participate in biking

Please don't Bring:

• Electronics

• Weapons (including toys)

9:45: Welcome circle and Show and Share

10:00:

Komodo Dragons (K-3): Drama with Gabriel

Capybaras (Grade 3-6): Biking with Forrest (please bring a safe and well-fitted bike to participate - let us know ASAP if you need help sourcing or transporting a bike!)

11:30 Eat and Play time

12:15 pm-1pm: Lunch eating and play time 

1:00 pm: Illustrating SPIDER books

2:00 pm: Clean up and head home.
