The route starts at the end of the village, south direction, thorugh a track sometimes asphalted.
Soon after leaving the village, the track crosses the river (Contado bridge) Pigüeña, whose valley the track follows on its left bank until the summer huts of La Pornacal (locally called brañas).
Braña de la Pornacal is one of the biggest and better preserve summer huts of the Natural Park. It has thirty-four rectangular huts vegetable tiled. We suggest restoring energy here while contemplating the beech forest at the other side of the valley, called Las Sendas. It gives refuge to the highlight fauna of the park. There is a source/fountain at the end of the hut-site (fuente de la Prida).
Se compone de un conjunto de treinta y cuatro cabañas, de planta rectangular y con la cubierta de material vegetal, piornos o escobas.
The track continues its climb among hay lands in a place called La Requexada. Sometimes, at dawn and dusk, deer and chamois can be seen grazing in the slopes behind them.
After this pasture land, the valley gets narrower and the climbing stepper. We reached the Corralón waterfall and soon afterwards, la Braña Viella or de los Cuartos. This one is oldest, with circular stoned-roofed huts. The route finishes here, by the source de los Cuartos, with the Cereizales valley in front of us.
This route connects with another one that through a deviation on the left takes you to the Braña de La Peral (PR.AS-14).
