Trails are for Southcliff residents only
Post date: January 14, 2023
Attention Southcliff Hikers:
The Trails Committee is encouraging all Southcliff hikers to avoid using our trails after periods of heavy rain. Hiking on very wet trails can be dangerous, especially on steep terrain. The trails can be muddy and the steps and water bars on the trails very slippery.
In addition to the safety concerns, hiking on trails during very wet conditions can cause more damage to the trails. Allowing the trails to dry out for a couple of days after large storms helps reduce erosion and damage to the trail treads. Your cooperation in helping keep our trails in good condition for us all to enjoy is appreciated.
